The only reason it seems narrow minded to you is because it doesn't line up with your fanboy fanaticism. Yes they were reformed as Chapters but the other can never be First Founding... nor should they be included until all the First Founding are.. because First Founding are more critical to the lore than any others. Also, if the DEV team said NO to BT's then it makes no sense to keep bringing it up... It's not constructive to the conversation nor applicable.. We'd like to hear your OTHER choices.. not more babble about the same crap. BTW, I have nothing against the BT's I love them for what they are. I know they're more popular than the Fists but it's a matter of principle that the Fists either be there first or at the same time as any of their successors. The only problem I have is people wasting forum posts lobbying for something that will not and should not happen... It's getting really old and is making all the BT fans seem like a bunch of 12 year olds that are just playing the cry and parent shop game "Maybe if we cause enough noise we'll get what we want..." "I must have BT's or the game will be ruined for me..." "There's no 40K without BT's..." All these perspectives are poor and disrespectful to the 40k fans who are not on your side of the line. Not everyone is a BT fan. Not everyone considers the BT's the epicenter of their 40K universe. Just because they have their own codex doesn't make them a shoe-in. What about the Soul Drinker fans? They have their own Omnibus and a huge following as well. But you don't see them here beating the brick wall... nor do you see any of the fans of the remaining First Founding Chapters causing such commotion. Most of us are just happy to have a 40K game at all. None of us were crying that DMO was BT only... we were just happy to have a 40K game. Now it seems like, with DMO being cancelled, all the BT's were expecting that they were going to get BT's and felt like they deserved them. Just not the case. Different game, different developer... and the situation with what has already been decided doesn't make sense to have them. Anyone looking at this with an honest perspective should immediately see it. There was 40K before BT's... and the 4 Chapters already stated were there in the beginning... BT's weren't. The only sons of Dorn in that (The original Rogue Trader) list were the Crimson Fists. But they are a successors too. Maybe it should be the Iron Hands.. they were in the original Rogue Trader.
I think the silent sister hood would be a great addition. They have been with the Emperor for as long as any of the first founding and will give female 40k fans a true army of their own. Are the Eldar giving a female option? If not the nuns with guns would kick a$$.
My choice for a first founding chapter would probably go toward the Iron Hands. but I also wouldn't mind throwing in for a cursed founding chapter like the Black Dragons. the customization options for each of these subfactions would definitely be awesome to see.
They were there when the wolves fought the crimson king. The fought with Dorn to protect Terra. I think you are mistaken. Read the Horus heresy books the silent sister hood is spoken about greatly.
The Horus Heresy books take place ten thousand years before the current setting. They disappear after the Heresy but it isn't said when or why.
They were fighting then and they are still fighting. They fought along side the Emperor and are still fighting currently with the Ordos. The point was they were their at the founding and would add a female fighting force. The sisters pre-date even the Primarchs when they were known as the Daughters of the Emperor.
There's literally no reference to them in the 41st millennium. The Lexicanum and wiki both say that. There's a possibility that they're still around but not as an army like before. I'd love to see them return though. I think they're pretty awesome.
