And if you point is they all died. Ok tell me any ultramarines from the heresy that are still alive in the 41st millennium
There are six thousand years between them as well. I'm not well versed on SoB but they're never shown to interfere with psyker powers. They fulfill the same function but aren't blanks. Sisters of Silence that aren't blanks or nulls aren't Sisters of Silence. That's the point.
Did I say that I would like to see BLACK TEMPLARS? I probably did but its never enough. Omg the horror.
Templars. Dark Millenium got us psyched for some Black Templars, and this game is even named after their day-to-day activities. Its an injustice to not include our favorite crazed space catholics.
For those who can't be fucked reading a load of sound evidence, I've posted a summary after this one. Quotes on the Silent Sisters from Lexicanum: "The Sisters of Silence, also known as the Silent Sisterhood, were the militant arm of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica during the Great Crusade, and were internally referred to as the organization's Departmento Investigates." "The Sisters of Silence have a long history (their organisation predates the Horus Heresy). They were an all female order, in much the same way as the Adepta Sororitas; the major difference is that the Sisters were all Blanks." "The eventual fate of the Sisters of Silence is unknown. There are no canonical references to them in the 41st millennium, however neither are there any references to them being disbanded or destroyed. Opinion is divided as to their fate; some fans believe they still man the Blackships, whereas others believe they were decimated protecting the Emperor's secret project at the height of the Heresy and were either disbanded or incorporated into the fledgling Inquisition." The Sisters of battle, on the other hand, rose from the ashes of the Age of Apostasy, founded by the original "Brides of the Emperor." Which we all, I would assume, know. (I quote the Warhammer 40k 4th edition rule book) The Brides of the Emperor originate also from the the age of Apostasy, and actually originated, (quote Lexicanum) "a small cult of perhaps only five hundred members on the little known agri world of San Leor." George Vandire sought to gain their devout order for his cause, and so "When Vandire reached the temple, he found the gates barred against him and was informed by a young Daughter that he was not recognized by the cult. His servants, knowing Vandire's temper, believed they were all doomed, but Vandire had expected this and ordered them to witness an example of the strength of the Emperor in him. With a small bodyguard, Vandire entered the temple and clutched his Rosarius while kneeling to the Emperor, praying for protection. He then stood and ordered one of his guards to shoot him. The officer refused at first, unwilling to endanger himself, but Vandire persuaded him that he had the Emperor's protection. The officer loaded his laspistol and shot Vandire in the chest. There was a blinding flash of light and when it faded, Vandire was still standing, unhurt. As one the warriors in the temple fell on their knees to him. Later, Vandire boasted to his scribes that he assumed the Daughters would not have heard of a Rosarius and the conversion field it created."
In short, the silent sisters and sisters of battle are completely different because: -silent sisters were pariahs, flew around in black ships rounding up yummy psykers for the astronomican, and were the military arm if the Adeptus Astra Telepathica, AND weren't aloud to speak, while - the sisters of battle are the descendants of a small religious cult that had living shit trolled out of them by George Vandire, became his "brides of the emperor," where shown their error by Sebestian Thor, went all out butthurt and executed Vandire, before deciding they needed to repent some more, and founded the Sorotias orders as an open invite to all the women who were feeling a bit penitent too, and WERE aloud to shout about it. Verdict: they aren't connected whatsoever.
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Sisters_of_Silence#.UqXEMii-B0i The Sisters of Silence in the 41st Millennium The eventual fate of the Sisters of Silence is unknown. There are no canonical references to them in the 41st millennium, however neither are there any references to them being disbanded or destroyed. Opinion is divided as to their fate; some fans believe they still man the Blackships, whereas others believe they were decimated protecting the Emperor's secret project at the height of the Heresy and were either disbanded or incorporated into the fledgling Inquisition. So the sisters of battle/silence the wear what same armor, use the same sign battle code, carry bolters, hunt the psyker, travel in black ships and anathema to the psyker. Just because they were not seen for a few millennium. The inquisition works in secret. Black ships have always been manned by sisters. In Fireborn by Nick kyme The Salamanders fight along side the Mute sisters of the Ardent Vail who communicated only in sign. One sister absorbed all hatered and knew daemons true names. She was known as "the relic". So if one sister of silence survived the siege of Terra and worked with the Inquisition and Ecclesiarchy they live on. Who has passed down the tradition? The same as any space marine chapter passes down its tradition. As I said before who is alive in the 41st millennium thats was alive in the 31st millennium save for those tainted by warp.
Regardless of whether you think 'everyone' knows this or not I was responding to the original post which says: "If..." Upon skimming through the rest of the responses until the most recent, no one had stated that they will be adding a fifth. Some people were also still responding as if it were only a possibility. Also, I haven't been on this site in a while. I did not know they had official announced that the Black Templars were not going to be the 5th chapter. Zealots? I'm not apart of any BT group or fanatical fan club that you can generalize. Don't act like you know me. I want the BT to be the 5th, they're not. Big deal, life goes on. Oh, only constructive discussions and comments? I'm sure all your comments on this forum have been constructive. It's a forum man. Why can't people talk about what they want even if there is no possibility of it? Besides, you can't seriously say the discussion of the BT as a 5th chapter is preventing anyone from 'constructive discussion'. People can post what they want. The forum is here for fun man. So relax. But besides the BT, Imperial Fists seem like the best choice. So I would go with them as a second.
well I'm on the side of having no Templars. I think a subfaction that lacks any psykers is just asking for extra balancing work. Not to mention it'll bring me joy to no end to hear all the resultant whining from fanboys being denied. must be my inner chaos asshole.
