I was looking at the eternal crusade home page today and saw there is still a empty race section, will there be another enemy of the imperium?

Probably just reserved for the announcement of the community-voted 5th subfaction for each faction. Designing additional races is currently a task exclusively for expansions as far as we know.

Perhaps but i would like the tau, they have killer rifles

well they wont be in the game at launch.

i think its just there for when the announce the npc race of nids

It does make sense, well then all i know of nids is that they will be used on the strongest faction (us)

they pick on every one, just more soo on the one with the most land.

I wonder if they can take strongholds

The devs have said several times that the 5th faction are the nids, that they will be purely npc and will appear only in instanced PvE dungeons.
Quick use of the search function would have told you all of this and more.

Ironically i did search before making this thread but it does seem realistic
