    Progression is supposed to be HORIZONTAL.
    You are supposed to have MORE options to choose from, not STACK them all-that was never the intention.

    And you don't have to like chainswords, that's what you'll be able to take when you'll go for mobility.
    You want more melee power? Sorry, you need to drop some of that mobility.

    Up until now exclusively supports had to choose what to pick, foregoing a lot of wargear.
    Now JPA are joining the club.

    Tacticals are next when weapon mods will get revamp, after them heavies when their weapon mods kick in.

    For GAs it'll come naturally with all the changes and mods.

    JPAs are not special snowflake, they are avatar of what's to come, what was always intended.

    Apparently you have no clue how melee in this game works. Speed has almost none impact on your melee capabilities. Only on gap closing. Armor regen has. -3s of armor regen is holy grail of melee survivability. +3s is not a "slight" nerf. No downed state is much much muuuuuch better option then this one.

    Actually as far as I can tell now, they can take powerswords/armor/fuel just fine, that's what we've been seeing from people and screenshots.

    I don't know what was up with the previous stuff earlier in the thread, but it was obviously fluffed up crap from JPA's trying to make it look way worse than it is.

    Nobody will be using chainswords, they will still all have power weapons.

    Yep and that's intended, especially considering how strong axes/maces are now.
    If you'll want to pick now better axe, you need to forego something.

    Builds from first pages are 100% mobility builds, which will benefit really from lifesteal, which you won't be able to pick on anything else but chainsword.
    With toughness change, chainswords will also get indirect 9% dmg buff vs anyone except eldar.

    What's this in actual time? I'm not going to lie, it doesn't sound that bad.

    I think having no downed state is slightly more debilitating than a 50% increased armour regen delay. Great I'm more effective in melee, now I've just got to get there without being killed en route. At least a Raptor can slink off to be rezzed if he is downed en route to combat. The WAAAGH!!! is a nerf, pretty much universally. It allows for farming by the enemy team and it should be taken out of matches and redone.

    No I don't play much with MoS so I don't know it myself, hence asking these questions. I see a lot of tears over armour regen when Orks have literally less armour.

    I think I do have a good idea how melee works actually, positioning to avoid attacks and deal damage (rather than clang) is key. Mobility is key, flanking and getting behind an opponent is key, particularly in group melee engagements. Hence y'know, all those annoyed people last week complaining that the JPA had too much mobility and killing power with no downside in terms of armour (or lack thereof). We've all seen the videos where the JPA boosts around the enemy while they are attempting to Dbash only to deliver a killing blow from behind. That's what mobility gets you in melee in this game. With all due respect, I think it is you who has no clue how melee works.

  7. Waaaagh ist actually a pretty devastating advantage if used right. And by right i mean, a Trukk next to a capture point is a guaranteed Capture-Point taken, as there are non-stop orks assaulting. You can't even really defeat the trukk, as the Orks stream out of it, as soon as they get shot and instakilled.

    The only thing i would change about the Waagh is: I would not tie it to the match-timer, but rather let it be a Warlord-Power, that he can activate whenever he feels it's necessary. Of course this would mean we need warlords first, but used tactically... waagh can be a gamechanger

    Oh, i think i am fine, my "speed gives additional positioning abilities"\"no downed state is more devilitating then 50% increased armor regen" friend.

    Just so you know, no downed state is a direct advantage for a lone flanking or harassing unit.

    6 seconds is base.
    9 seconds is with MoS.
    3 seconds is with MoT.
    Armor pays a HUGE role in JPA survivability, that's one part why Raptor is inferior to all other JPA.
