Here is my character, depending on GM approval of course! Name: Treleskan Varl, “Maker of Angels” Gender: Male Race: Eldar (of Commorrite extraction) Class: Ship’s Surgeon / Cosmetic enthusiast, trained by the Coven of the Remade Helix Role on Ship: Fixing and improving upon the physical form, developing vaccines, etc. Equipment: Surgeon’s tools and a well-equipped workshop, hex rifle for those annoying moments, but relies mostly on a bodyguard. Looks: Atypically for the Haemonculi, Varl is not a monster on the surface. His skin is pale, certainly, even for an Eldar; his hair is black and almost invariably tied back, and his dark eyes (purple iris, but if you are close enough for this detail, you may be too close) do not blink quite often enough. He is a little gaunt, but he moves with a long-limbed elegance and has no major spinal alterations or anything gauche of that nature. He is well-presented, and usually wears gloves to protect his hands, “the hands of an artist” as he likes to say. If he were an ordinary Commorrite, he would be handsome, but there is something ... something under the surface that warns that this is not quite all there is to see. He tends to touch things (or people) that interest him a lot, tactile perceptions being an endless source of fascination to him. That some may find this creepy seems to pass him by. Personality: Varl is a Haemonculus. But only someone who has something to prove spends all their time cackling and gurning, so he is usually very civilised and quite fond of sarcastic wit. He is creative and pragmatic by turns, with an ear for fine music, not necessarily crafted from screams. History: Varl is a Haemonculus who trained as part of the Coven of the Remade Helix in the Dark City. However, in common with the most ‘enlightened’ Haemonculi, he does not believe in limits, and so when he got the desire to travel, he packed up his workshop and his most loyal Wrack and took to the stars. He served in the fleet of Duke Traevelliath Sliscus and then moved on from there to see what the future would bring. Taking up a post for Varl is more dependant on what opportunities he thinks it offers, rather than any monetary reward, as he has wealth enough for his needs from his time providing rich Commorrites with the means to become Scourges. This is still one of his favourite things to do.
Name: Dras, "The Master's Shadow" Gender:Male Race: Dark Eldar Class: Wrack Role on Ship: Combat Medic, Surgical Assistant, Medical Officer's Bodyguard, Trader, and "Parts Acquisition Specialist" Equipment: Paired Wrack Tools (Large, heavy blade. Wickedly curved saw) Splinter Pistol Heavily modified Gnarlskin. Slight camouflage capacity? Virtually countless number of chains and meat hooks. Looks: Gone is the Eldar poise, gone is the Eldar grace, gone the frail body, and gone the slender face. Intimidation was clearly what Treleskan had in mind when the being now known only as "Dras" went under his scalpel. Hidden behind a Wrack mask, there is only ever the barest glint of his eyes to be caught at the rarest of times; gaze cold and reptilian. The broad, abnormally muscled chest and shoulders of this former Commorrite flash with an array of colors beneath the skin, changing with his mood throughout the day. His bones are hollowed out, making him abnormally light on his bare feet, yet strengthened as Treleskan Varl's beast of burden and protector. His feet are bony talons and his third arm is always caressing one of his tools. The multiple chains beneath his robe, hanging from his belt, or crossing his chest, bedecked with flesh hooks. Or his splinter pistol, secreted away. Or even the two blades across the small of his back, horrendously balanced and oversized for a regular Eldar. Personality: Dras is a loyal servant and student to Treleskan Varl, but that does not mean that he is not without some sense of adventure. It takes a great deal of guts (Secreted away between his shoulders instead of his stomach, like most Wracks), to abandon the Dark City to explore Realspace. He is eager to learn and despite his subservient role to a Haemonculus, can indulge in the occasional bout of wit or anger. Foolish though it may be to speak against his master, the modifications to his skin make it difficult for him to lie or attempt deception. It causes him to be outspoken and direct at times. History: Whoever Dras might have been was lost the day he agreed to become Treleskan Varl's student. His body changed and with it, his old identity was cast aside. The most he will say on the matter is that he was just another dreg in Lower Commorragh. His familiarity with knives, flesh hooks, and pistols would suggest he joined a gang like so many others.
