Just a curious question. If you were giving 3D models to use for EC that are compatable with the game engine would you be willing to use them? I know for a fact that there are alot of people that play this game that are willing to help create content. 1 model per person from 300 people is ALOT of content and they would probably even be willing to submit it for free. You could tweak it as you see fit of course but just a curious question.
Change model for textures and I'm all in. I dont know shit about modeling, but give me some sweet templates and I'll do it
@Oveur challenged me to do so and I accepted, still no word from him though. Since cosmetics are the thing keeping the game afloat, why would BE not want free models? Free models = free money. It can't be that hard to take a model, submit a picture to GW and then throw it in the game. Most people love cosmetics anyway, it would keep them playing.
I wonder if bE can use Steam Workshops like TF2 does, to get people to submit models and stuff through Steam Workshop and then if bE likes it, they can add it to the game. The infrastructure is there, but I dont know if Valve allows non-Valve games to use SW like that
It really would be a life-saver if the community was given the chance to contribute assets - models, textures, animations, maps, whatever. Of course all that would have to be filtered by bE and GW but hell, its worth a shot...it aint like they're losing much by just accepting or denying designs, right?
warframe does this, they submit the best workshop content for votation and then add it to the game. It would be awesome as we still need A LOT of cosmetics
