I was referring to how Rokdak was apologizing to DJpenguin on what me and my fellow orks have done to the eldar forum to which I say I'm am not sorry and quite frankly don't care. *sips more tea and dips a biscuit in the tea*
I think it would have been fun to at least put some Eldar units in unreachable places - like a hidden item - "Spot the Eldar watchers" on each mission. You see them, they disappear before you can shoot - they were there. Why were they there? Nobody knows. What were they doing? Nobody knows. Were they watching the Space Marine? Corralling him? Just curious? It's never explained - but hidden somewhere in each level is a vanishing Eldar unit somewhere - just lurking about. That'd be all the shout-out I'd have asked for in Space Marine
Also yea - in The Grim Darkness of the Far Future - the Orks are essentially the good guys in the galaxy. They were created as a galactic scale biological weapon for denying the will of (C'tan) gods, they're capable of infesting entire planets, and have an insatiable thirst for murdering sentient life - but when everyone else is worse that still leaves the Orks as "the good guys". The Imperium wants to kill all non-human sentient life in the galaxy: the Orks just want to fight the fightiest ones. Orks don't Exterminatus entire systems - the Imperium does - that's not very sporting of the humans. The Tau want to subjugate and enslave, or murder, everyone. Chaos wants the galaxy to burn. The Eldar a) birthed a Chaos god, b) have zero regard for non-Eldar life and have no quarrel fighting dirty, c) are planning to birth another more powerful and uncontrollable god. Arguably the Tyranids are also "good guys" - in that they don't have any malice in their motivations - they're just hungry..and what they eat is galaxies-worth of biological matter. They're not trying to exterminate the galaxy, that's just Lunch to them.
