Logged out. Was all of 6 people waiting on the orks side for skirmish or fortress. I don't think the content patch is going to save this game... F2P when?
I feel your pain. I'd expect ork free to play as a christmas gift just AFTER december patch and first iteration of campaigns (unless campaigns become a january thing). However maybe just a free weekend trial or free week then goes back to normal. I'd expect a more permanent f2p around summer to fall next year. The idea is that they want people to want to buy the game AFTER they tried it. Previously, people wanted refund after buying it (well not everyone but you get what I mean). So they won't put free to play until they are confident that people playing freely would want to pay for more. As such, they need to be confident about the melee system, the melee-range balance, campaigns, core shooter experience, replay value, etc. etc. They can't really afford any more bad publicity, so I think they'll run relatively silent even with low pop until they are ready to make a big wow impression.
So, you play when US population sleeps and EU population works and wonder why you can't find the que?
