    It is some sort of fixed resonator. Could be one of many. Probably comb filtering. Listen to how the synthetic tones do not shift to follow the contour of the actor's voice. The tones activate in a predefined cluster, so the sound designer must have had to design the chord they wanted Archon to sound.

    So by applying echo, reverb plus comb filtering in Audacity I should be able to achieve roughly the same effect? Also thanks for the quick reply!

    I would try comb filtering without the echo/reverb first. You will have to work out the tones used one by one.

    So just repeatedly apply comb filtering of varying frequencies until I achieve the desired effect? Is there a limit to how many times I should apply the filter?
